<lj:music>Nickelback - Gotta Be Somebody</lj:music>

Well... the last time I updated I was starting a new job... and I'm still there after 3 months. It's going okay... the people are nice for the most part. I prefer the accounting side more than the payroll side but it's all going alright. There was a very nice company picnic back in August. I took my sister and we enjoyed a nice day outside on the owner of the company's property. I also took some nice photos including an awesome one of a horse. One of the other photos I took was of me and my sister. I submitted that one for a contest called Summer of Smiles and won 4th place. Which wasn't much but hey... I won something dang it! Which was a $50 gift certificate lol Woohoo!

I was also went to my friend's wedding on my birthday. I took my friend Steve as my guest for the evening. It was a great time. My friend looked beautiful in her wedding dress and everything looked perfect. The food was awesome... especially these cookies that looked like real peaches (MMMmmmm... I want more of those). The DJ was a pretty good DJ. He played all the great songs you want to dance to at a wedding. One of the funniest things was watching a Grandpa do the helicopter part of "Jump On It". It was an extremely nice wedding and I had a great time. I'm really glad I went. It made for an interesting birthday :O)

In other events, Kayla moved to North Carolina. I guess that's going okay. I went to Kennywood on Labor Day weekend. That was a fun time. Val had a party over her house which I had a great time with everyone. I also became a Godmother for Gretchen's baby Olivia. So... I hope I don't screw that up!

OH! and it's kittens galore over here. The 3 from the original litter are now parked on my front porch. They are cute though :O) I am getting those 3 fixed this coming Wednesday. We are not having anymore dang it! Plus... the mother had another litter a couple of weeks ago. There are 4 in this litter. Since it's getting cold we decided to bring them in with the mother. They are currently in the basement all warm and cozy. I plan on making an appointment for the mother sometime for next month. The other 4 will be up for adoption through this one agency... Unless someone wants one. If anyone wants one let me know!

A couple weeks ago I went back to Wesleyan for homecoming. I had an awesome time rooming with a couple of my friends from college. There was an accidental 911 call at 2AM, a climbing of the WVWC sign, a little bit of drinking, and a lot of fun times with friends. That's just the short version of that weekend.

That pretty much sums up my life for the last couple of months. I probably forgot a few things... The next time I update probably won't be until after the holidays... but I guess if something comes up or I get bored I'll post again sometime soon. If not... talk to you all sometime down the road...

Quote of the day:
"Get up and dance, get up and smile, get up and drink to the days that are gone in the shortest while."
~Simon Fowler

    <lj:music>American Boy - Estelle</lj:music>

So... I quit my job and started a new one lol I thought that was journal worthy enough to get me to update.

My last day was June 27th and I started my new job this past Monday. It was really sad to say goodbye to everyone but I had to do it. They still hadn't hired me and this place would pay me what I was asking for so yay! I also get benefits and such. The first 2 days have gone fine. Everyone seems nice and I'm doing alright. I guess we'll see how it goes!

Between starting and quitting I took a week off. I met up with some friends, went to sandcastle, and enjoyed some relaxation. It's nice to have off... wish I had more time.

In other news, Gretchen had her baby (yay!) and she's adorable. I also met up with my friend and had a blast. I also went to her Bridal Shower and I plan on attending the wedding which happens to be on my birthday. It's great seeing people I haven't seen in a really long time! I miss seeing them all! Other than that I haven't done much. I've seen a lot of summer movies which have been great :O)

I'll probably update when I have big news again... or I get bored... which ever comes first!

Quote of the day:
"You have to recognize when the right place and the right time fuse and take advantage of that opportunity. <lj:music>One Republic - All Fall Down</lj:music>

Yeah so I'm bored and decided to update for everyone...

In my opinion, not much has happened since my last update. But I guess I have been up to some things. I welcomed the New Year in, visited Wesleyan a couple of times, went to my friends baby shower, went to my sister's graduation, and a whole slew of other things.

For New Years, I went with my friend to a couple of her friends' houses to welcome 2008. The theme of the night was "Happy New Years... It's Still Gonna Suck!" There was a lot of drinking going on at both places but it was fun. I had a good time.

Then, throughout the 'semester,' I visited Wesleyan twice. I decided to make a last minute appearance for the Kappa Phi formal. I had a great time seeing and catching up with everyone at the dance. I of course stayed at my friend LaShawn's room for the weekend. I won't have that next year ::tear::. We also went out to Allburghers for St. Paddy's Day. I think I finally found a bar I like. To bad it's after I graduated from down there. The next time I visited was for Spring Sing weekend. I went down Saturday instead of Friday so that I could celebrate my friend Val's birthday at Jay's. When I got down there, LaShawn and I went to a tea Kappa Phi decided to do. So I got to see some great alum again. Later that evening we went to Spring Sing. Too bad the air wasn't working and we were there for 4 hours. The show was Disney themed and was great to watch. Both trips were a great time.

Gretchen's baby shower was up next. She is having a baby girl and her name will be Olivia! She's due in the next couple of weeks. It's a bit weird when your freinds are married and start having kids when you yourself aren't even close to being engaged to anyone right now. But I am happy for her :o) The shower was a great time and was my first one! She had an awesome cake there that was beautiful and had the same filling as her wedding cake. The same woman did it and did a great job once again. Gretchen and Dan got a lot of nice things for the baby and I know all of them will help them a great bit!

A more recent event was my sister's graduation. That was last weekend. She got a very nice award from the school and accepted it in front of the whole audience. I took lots of photos and maybe one day I'll post them over on Facebook. Then we moved her out of her dorm before coming home. Sadly, that same day our dog that had Cancer passed. RIP Rusty...

On the job front... I STILL have NOT been hired. I will probably be quitting here in the next couple of weeks and they deserve it. There is a new job prospective out there and I guess I'll see what comes of that.

OH! and the summer movie season has begun! Yay!!!!! I've seen Iron Man and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Both are excellent movies and I'd definately recommend them to people! There are some other ones out right now I'd like to see but I might not get to see those until they come out on DVD this fall. There are also a lot of movies I want to see that are coming out. The one I am most looking forward to is The Dark Knight. I can't wait until that comes out!

Well a few other things have happened since my last update but I think this is good for now. If I get really bored maybe I'll come back on here and update some more.

In upcoming news: My sister is moving to North Carolina to teach, the 4th of July, my birthday, and tomorrow I am going to visit a friend that I haven't seen since 2001. Tomorrow we are going to go the Cheesecake factory and see a movie! I'm really looking forward to that tomorrow :O) That's enough for now!

Quote of the day:
"To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour."
~William Blake

Hey Everyone! Here's the update:

Since my last update I went to Wesleyan for Homecoming, continued working, had Thanksgiving, went out for Black Friday, saw a few movies, had the Christmas party at work, and decorated the tree over my Mom's.

I had a great time at Homecoming. It was great seeing everyone and I loved catching up with them all. A big group of us all went out to eat up in Clarksburg and went around the mall. Unfortunately at the time I had a cold and began to lose my voice while down there. It made for some interesting conversations since I tried not talking at all and we all know that didn't work! But I had fun anyways. I hope I get to see everyone in the spring for spring sing weekend :O)

We had Thanksgiving over my Mom's and we are going to have Christmas over there too. Everything went fine and all of us were there. She still has a lot to unpack but I don't know if it will ever all be unpacked. Christmas looks to be fun. I still need to finish my Christmas shopping... whoops! Only about a week left to do that.

Last week we had the Christmas party at work. We went to a nice little place that served the food buffet style. We were allowed two drink tickets (some got more than 2 by begging others for them lol). I got two amaretto sours... Those were delicious! There was only one person that was really tipsy but she was entertaining.

Other than that not much else is new. I'm still waiting to hear that I'm full time at this job. That should happen early in the new year! Hopefully! My sister is working with me there and that should lead to some entertaining times.

Next up is Christmas and New Years. I might do the year in review entry... guess we'll see!

Quote of the day:
Nobody knows what you want except you.
So I figured it was time for another update. Since my last update a lot of things have happened. Let's start back in August.

I went to North Carolina for a few days with some friends. It was a fun road trip and we even went to a waterpark down there which was great! I got to learn how to ride a moped and val got to learn how to ride a stick shift and a construction vehicle. I definitely have a lot of photos.

I also went to Kennywood for my dad's work picnic. I brought along some friends to ride with me and my sister. There is a really fun ride they added that has an alien's theme. But it was a great day and I had a lot of fun with everyone.

In other news, my mother moved back in the area and I have been sucked into that whole mess for the last month. Let's just say ::headdesk:: over and over. She's got a lot of boxes to unpack still. I house sat one week for a few days which was fun since I got to be on my own for a bit. There's a lot more to this whole thing but I'll just leave it at that.

I'm also still working at the same place right now. There's a possibility that I might be getting a full time job from them in the near future. But until that happens I plan to still look at other jobs. I already had a couple of interviews but nothing has come from them at least not yet.

Next weekend is homecoming weekend down at Wesleyan and I definitely plan on going! I can't wait to see everyone :O) I miss them all. So it should be a great time!

I guess that's it for now... there is a lot of other crap that has happened since my last update but I either 1. don't want to get into right now or 2. don't remember. Oh well! Until next time!

Quote of the day:
If winter is slumber and spring is birth, and summer is life, then autumn rounds out to be reflection. It's a time of year when the leaves are down and the harvest is in and the perennials are gone.
Yeah... so... I'm getting old :OP I just turned 23... not like I feel 23 or look like I'm 23. Not much else is new...

It's been a crappy few weeks and I don't feel like getting into it right now... but I figured I'd update this thing a little bit.

A few weeks ago, I went out to my mother's to help her. I brought some friend's along to help and had a great time with them. Hopefully she gets everything done that she needs to get done before her big auction. I have some great photos from the trip :O)

What else is new... hhhmmmm... well.... I'm still looking for another job... ya know... one more in my field. So that continues. Hopefully someday I get a full time permanent job and then I can move out. But for now things stay the same.

Since my last update I have seen a lot of summer movies... all have been really good. Pirates 3, Transformers, Harry Potter 5, and a lot of others have been very entertaining. I love them all :O)

In other news... I miss everyone from school... it's getting around that time of year again and I really wish I had another year with all of them... oh well... life goes on...

OH and FYI! <lj:music>Kelly Clarkson - Never Again</lj:music>

Yeah... was it a big surprise that it took me this long to update again?

So... my last semester of college... it was great for the most part. I danced Spring Sing again. We got 3rd and won 2nd for our banner. I didn't screw up to badly and I enjoyed my time with the girls. I went bowling, saw lots of movies, and climbed the Wesley statue for balloons. Then I went to Cincinnati for SIFE regionals once again. We didn't win this year but I still had a great time with everyone. It's lots of fun to shove 12 people into a big van with all our stuff. I got contacts and glasses which I've needed for a few years lol (yeah so I'm stubborn). What else did I do this last semester? Went to the mall with friends, had our last degrees, had a Kappa Phi retreat (rolling the big blue ball there was highly entertaining), pied Joey in the face, did lots of Turbo Jam, and hung out with my friends as much as I could. We also had some great parties that I will never forget (I have the pictures and videos to help). I also went out on Senior Bar Crawl and had a blast since I drank more than I ever had before (a raspberry smirnoff wine cooler, vodka and coke, 9 jello shots, 5 hillbilly moonshines, a grape and grain shot, and a sex on the beach) and I didn't even get sick. I will never forget my friends or the times we had. I already miss Wesleyan and wish I was still going back this coming year to have more great times. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and with a 3.8 GPA. All in all a great end to my senior year. Just wish it didn't have to end!

So what's new since college? Not much... Still working at Patent... they may be offering me a full time job there in the fall. I guess I have to wait and see if I want it or if I want to go elsewhere. We also got a new kitten and her name is Zoe. She thinks she is a Queen. My mom is getting a divorce from my Step Dad and talking about moving back here. So that's good. I've seen a lot of my summer movies already. These include Spiderman 3, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Shrek 3, Ratatouille, and Fantastic Four 2. I've enjoyed them all but my favorite is still Pirates 3!!! I love that movie! Up next on my list is to see Transformers, Harry Potter 5, and a lot of others :O) The 4th of July is on Wednesday and we don't have any definite plans yet. Um... what else is new? I've really just been hanging out with my friends back home and trying to find things to do.

Well I guess that's enough of an update for now. Who knows when my next update will be. Until then... C'ya!

Quote of the Day:
"Go out and have fun! Take part in whatever you can.
So it's almost been a month since starting my last semester. It's been okay.. so far it's definitely been better than last semester. I have my main teacher back (thank God!) and I am feeling better about my job field then I did after last semester.

Let's see.. what's new...

Well I went home for another funeral. And while home for said funeral... I had my first fender bender. Way to go me! What's even better is that I BACKED into the parked car... yeah.. I know... I scratched their big truck bumper and killed my taillight and bent my bumper. Turned into a lovely mess later on which I don't feel like going in to. Oh well.. done and over with!

My classes are going well. I have had a few tests and done pretty well. I don't feel as pressured as I did last semester which is great! The pressure is still there but not the huge work load I had. Hopefully the rest of the semester continues to go well with my classes.

Not much else is new. Went home last weekend and had a nice relaxing weekend... as the windchill dropped below 0 (yeah... mother nature came back with a vengeance). Degree of the Pine was last Sunday and we have some new pledgies so that's good. I also saw one of the funniest superbowl commercials. You probably all saw it. It was for blockbuster and it involved a rabbit, a guinea pig, and a mouse. Highly entertaining!

Not much is coming up (so it might be a while for another update lol. Valentine's Day is next week... or rather Single's Awareness Day. Yup... I think I'm going to start some sort of tradition for single's since I'm always single.... hhhmmm... Who knows... Maybe I'll come up with something!

Quote of the Day:
"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity."
~Albert Einstein

So begins my last semester as an udergrad college student! AH! We all know me well enough to know that I probably won't stay out of school forever though :)

So yesterday was registration which went fine. Had to finish buying my books. I'm extremely glad that I ordered most of them online already since it would have cost me 735 freaking dollars! Instead it cost me about 335 freaking dollars. I like saving $400.

Today was my first class of the semester and the only one I have on TTH. That went okay... we'll see how that class goes... Tomorrow I have 4 classes (Awesome!) Someone should just shoot me now.

Eh.. well.. we shall see how the semester goes. Maybe I'll update this thing this semester. I wouldn't count on it though lol

Quote of the day:
"Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living."
~Miriam Beard

Happy New Year!

So.. it's that time of year again! Time to wish everyone a Happy New Year and to do a year-in-review :O)

Yeah... So 2006 was an okay year. Nothing REALLY big happened. But here are a few highlights and downsides of the year.

Let's see... there were some fun parties with friends (with great quotes and pictures), went to the SIFE regionals and watched us win again, participated in spring sing, took 2 littles in one year, my mom came to see my school, watched as more of my friends graduated and left, began a job that not only is closer to my field but is also one I like, my Aunt came to visit in July, started my senior year of college :O0, was the maid of honor in Gretchen's wedding, there was a funeral, went on some fun trips around West Virginia (so pretty in the fall), took a photography class that I had always wanted to do (again... thanx to everyone that put up with me for that semester lol), got my lowest grade ever in a course, actually missed a teacher, got to see some great movies over the summer (and I look forward to more this summer), still no boyfriend, got my own dorm room (with a bathroom!), went to a club that I hope I never return to lol, got to play some of the new zelda game (I was really having fun with the new Wii console!), cut my hair shorter than it has ever been (in my world that means above shoulders), turned 22, realized maybe I don't always want to be in school anymore, and became more confused about life among other things lol.

All in all an okay year. I wish some things were different but maybe some of those will change this year.

On this years agenda... well it should be intersting. I graduate (or at least I hope to) in May. What am I doing after graduation? No clue... I have about 10 choices I could choose from and I don't know what I want to do just yet... and I like to procrastinate! I have no clue where I will be in a year but hopefully it's somewhere I want to be with my life. As far as resolutions go... I have a few in mind but I doubt they will stick lol So no point in posting them! Enjoy the year people!

Quote of the day:
“There comes a time when you have to stand up and shout:
This is me damn it! I look the way I look, think the way I think, feel the way I feel, love the way I love! I am a whole complex package. Take me... or leave me. Accept me - or walk away! Do not try to make me feel like less of a person, just because I don't fit your idea of who I should be and don't try to change me to fit your mold. If I need to change, I alone will make that decision.
When you are strong enough to love yourself 100%, good and bad - you will be amazed at the opportunities that life presents you.”
~Stacey Charter

Yeah... So I just looked. I haven't really updated since September. Oops! That's basically the whole semester missing. Oh well! I'll just touch upon some of the things from this past semester.

Well let's start with the classes that I just finished. I already know I got an A in People's Repuclic of China. It was an okay class. I actually did learn a lot in it... There was just too much writing and reading for a Gen Ed. course. When you write more than an English major does in a semester... it's not good! I know I got an A- in my photography course. Stupid final did me in. Had an A but ya know.. when it's my 5th final of the week I just don't care anymore. I had a lot of fun in that class even though I worked my butt off for it. It was my favorite and I will probably really miss it next semester. That leaves my accounting courses. Well those are okay I guess... Don't know any of my grades yet for those. I'm just hoping I passed with a C+ or better in the one. Yeah... not that happy with how some of those classes turned out but oh well. I'll find out what my final grades are this coming Thursday. So... we shall see!

What else... I had to independent study a nautilus course to finish my gym credits. So I had to do weight lifting and I did a cardio program. So far I have already been told by two people that I have gotten smaller. I didn't think I had gotten smaller but apparently I am wrong. Oh well... fine by me.

Um... this semeser has been busy and I really haven't had much time to do much else. There were a bunch of birthday's that have gone on since I last updated. Happy Birthday to anyone in the last couple of months lol For LaShawn's birthday we went out to celebrate since it was her 21st and her first drink. So it's been fun since she turned 21 lol

I took on another little for the semester. Was kind of forced into it but that's okay. My big just graduated so congrats to Sarah! You will be missed on campus by all of us!

So basically... I have been busy around campus either doing homework, working, going to group things, and hanging out with people. The semester was okay I guess but I am glad it is over. Next semester starts my last one and it kind of saddens me but oh well. I'll update again whenever I get a chance again.

Quote of the day:
"The only thing that makes life possible is permanent, intolerable uncertainty; not knowing what comes next."
~Ursula K. <lj:music>Evanescence - You Only Call Me When You're Sober</lj:music>

So I am back at school and have been for about 2 1/2 weeks. I've been very busy and now I am procrastinating and updating this :O) You should all feel special that I chose this way to procrastinate!

Anyways... I guess a lot has happened in the past month since I last updated. My last day of work came and went. I loved working with those ladies. They thought of themselves as being bitchy but really they're just saracastic and rather funny. On my last day of work, I ended up being there for about 13 hours. Go me! But the ladies took me out for a farewell lunch and gave me a pretty musical thing that had a quote on it I like. In fact, I'll put it as my quote of the day. Everyone said they'd miss me and told me that I could come back anytime that I wanted to come back. So yay for me! I also was told I could use a few people there as references. I think that job was a great job for me to start into my field and I enjoyed it.

As for that trip to Gettysburg... it didn't happen. My friend that I was suppose to go with ended up not being able to go because of personal family problems. In which case, much of that is still going on. For those that know what is going on, pray for her and her family. Also, this trip would have been more stressful for my mom with what is going on at her work. Maybe some other time!

Let's see... Oh yeah! The BIG event of Gretchen's wedding and bridal shower. Well the bridal shower was nice and quaint. We had it at a nice restaurant up her way and I loved the chicken salad I had. It was delicious! We had a nice sized group of mostly her family and his of about 16 people. Through the bridal shower she also got her honeymoon she wanted and some spending cash while up there :O) After the bridal shower, I went back to her house and got fitted for my bridesmaid's gown. That was fun since I had to stand still on a table in heels. This took a little bit over an hour and if any of you know me you know I can't stand perfectly still and have great posture for that long. Oh well, it was done lol

The wedding was this past weekend and that was very hectic. I had to leave school and miss a few classes on Friday in order to get up there to do the first stage. The first stage was to get my nails done. I didn't get fake ones put on. I just had them do a french manicure on my normal nails. They looked nice. Gretchen enjoyed the pedicure and manicure and it really helped to calm her down before the church rehearsal and all. We were however a little late for the church rehearsal becuase getting 7 people's nails done takes a while. The reverend wasn't very happy with us being a half hour late. Oh well, I'm sure he got over it. The rehearsal took a long time and it went okay. Before rehearsal I went and got a hotel room so that I wouldn't have to go back and forth between their area and my house. Gretchen also stayed with me so she could have some stress relief and so that Dan couldn't see her before the wedding. After the rehearsal, we got everything ready so in the morning we could just get ready and be done. We also went to Kings to have some dinner and to Walmart to pick up dress socks for the guys. Then we went back to the hotel. We offered to take Gretchen to the bar lol but she just wanted to get some sleep.

The day of the wedding was fun. I'm glad I set 2 alarms since the hotel's alarm went staticy. It was also raining so that was a bit of a downer. But, our first goal was to get mine and Gretchen's hair done. They did mine first. I had a french twist (which if anyone knows my current hair cut... that's a miracle that she got it up that fast) and it looked great with my highlights. Gretchen's hair was half up and half down and looked great. Her's probably took the longest. We then hurried to the church to let the florist in and begin getting everything ready. I later had to go back to the hair place and pick up the other sisters since we running late from all of them getting their hair done. Let's just 10 minutes til 1 and the Bride still wasn't in her gown. BUT we definately got her out there at 1 o'clock and she looked gorgeous! Go us! Everything went off without a hitch during the ceremony. Of course we all screwed up a few times such as the way we were to do seating and getting back up to the front. Oh well, didn't really matter and everything looked beautiful. Gretchen did ask if I would do a reading from 1 Corinthians and so I did. I love the passage I did anyways :O) After the ceremony, we all took pictures and then went to the country club for the reception. We got our introduction down a spiral staircase which with heels is a ton of fun to go down. We had about 1 hour with no rain and so we took photos outside by the gazebo. By the way everyone, I have a ton of photos if anyone wants to see them. The food was great and I had fun dancing with her sisters and everyone. All in all I had a good time. There was only one bad thing that happened and it would be that the some of the groomsmen thought it would be a great idea to tailgate out in the parking lot without running it by the bride. Oops! Oh well, it's done and over with and my stress level has dropped a lot so yay for that.

The other thing big that happened this past month was the start of my senior year in college. I have my own room which I am loving! My classes are okay. I am not very happy that my one teacher had to go on sebatical this semester after having quadruple bypass surgery. But he's fine and that's good. I love my photography course. It's a lot of work but I find it interesting. My People's Republic of China class is going to make me want to poke my eye out but you'll have that sometimes. So far I have had a ton of reading this semester and next week is really the start of the testing.

I also managed to get an hour a day job with the Bio department doing some clerical and purchasing work. I also got 2 notetaker positions for 2 of my classes. So at least I have some extra spending money coming in eventually. Kappa Phi and SIFE have also both started up and are rolling. A lot of other stuff is going or has been going on but I think this is really enough of an update for now. I think it's going to be an interesting semester to say the least. Maybe I'll update again in less than a month this time. Ya know... so it's not this long again!

Quote of the day:
"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss you will land somewhere among the stars."
~Unknown

Tis my life lately but won't be for much longer. I am suppose to be training the new temp to take my position when I go back to school (which makes me sad by the way that someone is "replacing" me). However, the first temp that came seemed like she would work out and said she'd be back... but basically lied to us and called the temp agency to tell them she wasnt coming back so :op to her. Tuesday brought another temp and she stayed for 2 days so far woohoo... I'm pretty sure she's gonna be the temp that stays and I finish training. However, I am running out of stuff for both of us to do/train on so the rest of the week should be fun. I'm suppose to work for the rest of this week and then I'm doing 2 days next week. Earlier in the week I plan on going out to my mom's place til about wednesday.

In other news.... In case no one noticed... it's freaking hot outside! Totally hiding in the basement where it's about 25 degrees cooler than my room (seriously). I really do wish I had my pool again!

What else... well the school cancelled my science in the fall so I had to find another class to replace that one. So now I'm in People's Republic of China ::headdesk:: Really the only choice I had so that I have a chance to graduate on time. So I'm doing my global in the fall instead of my science... woohoo... not! But oh well.. Should be entertaining.

The bridal shower is on it's way and is set for Aug. 13th... oh yippee.. can't wait lol I really can't wait for the wedding to be over so my stress level drops... But that's exactly 1 month away from today so I have to wait.

So not much else is going on... Like I said before the things that are coming up include many many birthdays, the bridal shower, my last day of work, a trip to Gettysburg, starting classes again, and the wedding. I may or may not update before next month... Guess it depends on whether I'm bored if I have more RUM Daiquaries :O)

Quote of the day:
"Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!"
~Unknown

It's Time For Another Monthly Update...

Yup... time again to update everyone on this past month.

Well I got my haircut and it's shorter than what I normally get. It is also cut more differently than I have ever had. I like it and it seems like everyone else does, too.

My Aunt came up over the week of the 4th. I got to see her a few times. Went to the Cheesecake factory the one day (I love that place!). We all went to Kennywood the day after the 4th. Let me tell you... I have never seen that place so packed in my entire life! That's what we get for going the day after the 4th on more than half price day. My big from Kappa Phi (Sarah) came along for the day, too. It was great to hang out and see everyone. The last day that I saw my Aunt was that Saturday when we went to my Godmother's mother's house (Fran's) and spent the evening there just sitting outside and catching up. After that we all did our goodbyes and went on our ways.

What else... oh on the 4th I went to Kelley's house and we did a cookout type thing over there. That was a lot of fun lol considering it took forever for us to get the coal brikettes lit and going. We all ended up not going to the parade since it was raining all morning. That night we ended up down at Hoss's to try to watch the fireworks since it had rained most of the day. Let's just say they took forever to try to go off, it started raining, and it was very very smokey. After that we went over to Val's Aunt's house and watched them shoot off there own fireworks :O)

This past month I also saw Pirates of the Carribean 2! It was great and I loved it!!! Now I will be adding some icons that others created to be used sometime soon :O) The only problem the night we went was that the earlier time we tried to go to was sold out so we had to wait an extra hour for the 10PM showing and that theatre was packed just as much! But still had a great time watching it and I can't wait for the next one to come out next spring!

Last weekend Joey came up to visit and brought along Miki and Jess. We took them up to see Mt. Washington (I love that lookout over Pittsburgh), went to the Spaghetti Warehouse (ate a ton of food), and went to see Derrick at his parent's apartment. All in all it was a great trip to Pittsburgh with everyone. I look forward to doing it again sometime in the future.

Other things I did this past month include celebrating my older sister's birthday, swimming, rollerblading, dying of extreme heat (we hit a good 95 degrees or more the one day), working my butt off, trying to get a bridal shower going, and beginning to do some school shopping. Stuff coming up in the next month will be my 22nd Birthday, a ton of other people's birthdays, getting ready for school and going back to school for my senior year :O0, last day of work, probably hanging out with more people, possibly a trip out to Gettysburg (we'll see), and doing some of the usual stuff.

Until next time!

Quote of the day:
"Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought."
Albert Szent-Gyorgyi

Wow... look... another update without it being another month... :O0

I'll just say Happy Father's Day first and get that out of the way. Hope everyone showed their appreciation towards their father's in their lives.

However, this is not really a good update. I was just told a few hours ago that my dog that I had since the 3rd grade died on Thursday. My sister waited til today to tell me. Apparently, my mother came home and found him dead in the driveway (this is in Gettysburg at her house). I don't think they really know what caused it. He was only 13 years old and I find myself remembering all the fun times I had with him growing up. I know he's in a better place... I just wish I could have said goodbye to him properly. The last time I got to see him was last summer when I went out to visit and go to the beach. But I guess that's life. I just hope my mom is doing okay and everything.
Here's a short update since my computer desktop isnt working at the moment...

Well for starters.. that's right my computer at home has decided to crash and burn basically. At least it's still under warranty hahahahaha... Which means that a guy comes out to fix it and all :O) However, he came out once already and switched out the motherboard and power source.. Neither of those ggrrr.. He thinks it's the processor which basically means that by the end of all this I will have a new computer lol However, I am reduced to stealing wireless on my laptop and it's not very stable. Oh well!

In other news, I've been working A LOT! At least 40 hours a week if not more. It's a pretty good job though and I don't mind doing it for the most part. But, there are those days were I just want to skip work and go outside... Ya know... have a normal summer before my last year of college... but I must remember that this is great work experience in my field and a nice amount of money to pay for that college education of mine.

As for doing fun stuff... I went to the Strawberrt Festival down at Wesleyan. Had fun hanging out with everyone! Got to feed ducks, to see part of a parade, to see the #1 drill team have fun in Aggie dancing until they left, to see my room next year(which I know how I want to set it up already yay!), and lots of other junk. I saw X-men 3 which is an awesome movie! Go see it! I've also been hanging out with Kelley, Val, Sammy, and Erica. It's been fun catching up and hanging out. Today I went swimming and worked on turning my pasty skin into a tan :O)

I know I probably forgot stuff but oh well. Not much else is going on except for work. In the weeks to come I expect to see my Aunt since she is coming to visit, the 4th of the July will be here shortly, I'm getting my haircut, there will be lots of birthdays, and lots of other things I'm sure I forgot about. Oh well... there's the update!

Quote of the day:
"You can only be young once. <lj:music>Unfaithful - Rihanna</lj:music>

So here goes somewhat of an update since spring break...

First up was the Kappa Phi formal. It went fine... took lots of photos which was probably the high point for me. I didn't dance much but I hung out with a lot of people. I had Tiff and Heather mess with my hair and get all curly... stupid rain had to make it uncurly. Seriously... if you look at the photos of me throughout the night my hair was slowly going back to being straight. All in all I had fun. Afterwards we all went back to Rich's apartment and hung out for a while.

Next up was my mom and step dad visiting me. I think they liked the town and had fun visiting around Buckhannon. We ate at Carmona's one night and at CJ Maggie's the next night. We all hung out and I showed them around campus. They went antique hunting the next morning in town and I think they had fun looking around. That weekend was interesting since it was degree of the light for the new pledges and I was taking a little. This meant that I had to prepare everything for Sunday night and I had no time to do that. I managed to pull it all off but just barely. So now I have a new Little named Marilyn :O) Yay! Fun times are surely ahead!

After that weekend the SIFE competition in Cincinnati, Ohio was next. We left Thursday afternoon and didn't make bad time. I enjoyed this ride a lot better than last years because I actually didn't get sick this time. I also had a lot of fun people in my van which made it a very interesting ride up and back. The hotel was nice and the food they served at lunch was pretty good. A few of us went exploring at about 1AM around the hotel and found another college that was kind of doing the same thing. I played some sort of game with them which was fun but hey... there want't much else to do at 1AM lol Our presentation went pretty well considering how many problems there were before it. We won regionals which means we get to go to nationals sometime this month. All in all it was a good trip and the career fair was excellent with great opportunities to see about jobs at corporations.

Spring Sing was that Saturday... the day right after we got back. I'm not going to go into the drama that surrounded it up til we went on. We did okay once we got started. I know I screwed up a few times though but that would probably be becuase I coudln't practice for a few days since I was with SIFE. But we placed 3rd in our division and we didn't win the banner competition (which we are known for winning). Oh well... there's always next year.

A group of us went and saw Ice Age 2. It was a really cute movie even though it's suppose to be for kids. I would recommend people to go see it becuase it's pretty funny.

I did come home for Easter break but I didn't do very much at all. We went to my sister's house for dinner. Of course there was plenty of food. And of course my sisters choose to watch the Saw movies. Such great movies to watch on Easter let me tell ya. Anyways, that night I started to get a scratchy throat so of course... as my past has shown... I lost my voice for over a week. I never lost it completely but pretty much came close. You know it's bad when your dad thinks you are your younger deeper sounding sister and asks if you are suiting up for the game that weekend. I did get it back of course eventually... but not til I basically finals were over.

Speaking of finals... mine went okay... felt like most of them screwed me over. My grades aren't the highest they've been in the past but I didn't get anything below a B which is good. And with the conclusion of my Junior year there is the realization that I only have one more left. It really does go by fast. Just hope it's a good one. I would just like to say congrats to everyone that did graduate this year (Val, Rich, Heather, and Jess in specific). I wish you all the best.

As for what I have been up to since I got home... I got a job! yay! It's with a Construction Systems company and it's in the area of my major.. so that's great! It's a lot of data entry type of stuff but I'm getting paid pretty well to do it. This job is suppose to be for at least a month with the potential to go longer. So we shall see if I get to go past the month mark or not. I just had my first week and I think I did pretty well. I start again on Monday.

Well this was a little update of what has gone on for the past month and a half. I'm sure I forgot or left stuff out but that happens. Not much is coming up except my job and possibly a trip to the Strawberry Festival down in Buckhannon. So I'm figuring I won't have much of a summer since I got a job... Oh well, at least I have one this time. Until my next random update... Night!

Quote of the day:
"The only thing that makes life possible is permanent, intolerable uncertainty; not knowing what comes next."
~Ursula K.
